Electronic travel authorization for all travel to the EU (also to Czechia): The European Parliament July 2018 endorsed the Commission’s proposal to set up an ETIAS electronic travel authorization. The system will be registered before traveling to travelers who can travel to Schengen without a visa. When you will be arriving at EU borders you will be required to submit both a valid travel document and an ETIAS permit.

Completion of the electronic application may not exceed 10 minutes and 95% of the cases will be automatically approved. Passengers have to pay a one-off fee of 7 euros (age 18 to 70) and the permit will be valid for three years.

 

When? Probably from 2020.
