Our route leads through the best part of the Czech highest mountains. Giant mountains (Krkonoše) have despite their small size a varied and diverse nature, also rich history and culture. Mountains were as the first in the Czech Republic declared a national park in 1992 and are included in the international network of biosphere reserves UNESCO. Steep glacial corries contrast with bare-stone ridges, large alpine meadows with timber cottages down in the picturesque valleys, the murmur of waterfalls with the mysterious silence of peat bogs will enchant you. Peculiar rural architecture can be found even in the smallest villages in the submontane areas and scattered houses on the ridges.
