Walk easy by narrow corridors of 97 million years old rocks of UNESCO geopark. Feel the aroma of pine forest when arriving at medieval castles. Enter into the timber house to watch how the locals lived. Nature full of life birdsong in contrast with cold sandstone. Look around at the rocks and countryside from many viewpoints. Discover region marked also by baroque include ponds.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Prague

Transfer from Václav Havel airport Prague to Bohemian Paradise.

Day 2Behind rock towns and gems

PRACHOV ROCKS – the most visited rock labyrinth of the Bohemian Paradise. The picturesque rock formations, and many narrow rock corridors. Many marked tourist paths are leading through the most beautiful parts and passing by the magical viewpoints. Clients choose a walk according to their fitness level. Possibility to have lunch in a local very raw medieval tavern. NOVÁ PAKA – the museum of precious stones.

Day 3Behind a medieval atmosphere

SOBOTKA – the town is guarded by the hunting castle of Humprecht, the possibility to visit this castle. DĚTENICE – a baroque castle with historical interiors, stucco decorations, collections of weapons and hunting trophies. The excursion to a castle brewery. Possibility to have lunch in a medieval tavern in the village of Dětenice.

Day 4To the heart of Bohemian paradise

The sightseeing tour by bus/car to the southern part of the Bohemian Paradise with stops at interesting places. TROSKY – a huge ruin of a castle standing on two rocks with beautiful viewpoints to the surroundings, a symbol of the Bohemian Paradise. HRUBÁ SKÁLA ROCK CITY – another very visited and romantic area with a gorgeous sandstone labyrinth of rock towers and formations nearly 60 metres high. Well-known Mariánská viewpoint – one of the most beautiful places situated nearby a symbolic cemetery of mountaineers. The clients can choose the walk in their efficiency. Later they will pass by the Valdštejn castle ruin. KOST – one of the most preserved and the most beautiful gothic castles of the Czech Republic. PLAKÁNEK – a picturesque rock valley bordered with pine forest – a possibility to walk here. VESEC – a small village with the folk architecture of wooden-timbered houses, typical two-storey houses. A lot of Czech and foreign fairy-tales and stories were shot here.

Day 5Along the river Jizera

The sightseeing tour by bus along the northern part of the Bohemian Paradise with stops at interesting places. SYCHROV – a baroque castle with an English park. TURNOV – the excursion to a producer of the Czech garnet jewellery. THE BOHEMIAN PARADISE MUSEUM – interesting expositions. DOLÁNKY – folk architecture, typical wooden timbered farm. FRÝDŠTEJN – a romantic ruin of a rock castle. MALÁ SKÁLA – a wooden-timbered cottage with an interesting painting gallery. There is an attractive rock formation of Suché skály.

Day 6Back to Prague

Transfer to the hotel in Prague.
