Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) national park – magical, varied and diverse nature in the highest Czech mountains. Located in borderland with Poland and its national park. We will show you the unique nature of Bohemian Switzerland as well. Here in Narnia wonderland you will admire sandstone rocks, wild gorges and breath-taking views. This national park is adjacent to the German national park Saxon Switzerland. In this national park you will find the deep Elbe Valley and the distinctive Table Mountains.
In the morning we will meet in Prague at the hotel. The journey from Prague to the Giant Mountains. But we will stop in Bohemian Paradise, one of the most beautiful areas of the country. TROSKY – ruins of a medieval castle with unique views to the countryside of the Czech Paradise. PRACHOVSKÉ SKÁLY – picturesque rock city full of sandstone rock formations. KRKONOŠE – by cable car to the highest Czech mountain Sněžka. Easy walking without ascending from Sněžka along national borders with Poland (you could cross borders free) to Špindlerova Bouda or Luční Bouda. Here we could have a rest and lunch. Finishing route in Špindlerův Mlýn. Total walking – 12 to 15 kilometres. Steep glacial corries contrast with bare-stone ridges, large alpine meadows with timber cottages down in the picturesque valleys, the murmur of waterfalls with the mysterious silence of peat bogs will enchant you. Transfer to Czech Switzerland with stops at interesting places. PONIKLÁ (UNESCO) – traditional production of glass blown pearls. JEŠTĚD – a popular lookout mountain with the famous TV tower. Lunch in a popular restaurant overlooking the countryside. We can get to the mountain by car, cable car or on foot. PANSKÁ SKÁLA – basalt rock in the shape of an organ. Transfer to national park Czech Switzerland. CZECH SWITZERLAND – easy ascent to the unique rock bridge Pravčická brána and further along the sandstone rocks to Mezní Louka (possibility of refreshments) and down to the wild gorges with the river Kamenice. You will ride a rowboat twice with a cheerful story of a ferryman. In total you can walk 15 km. Accommodation in Czech Switzerland, hotel***.
Transfer through national park Sachsen Switzerland to Dresden. SACHSEN SWITZERLAND (Sächsische Schweiz) – BASTEI – national park symbol. View of the Elbe canyon with a stone bridge and a rock castle. LILIENSTEIN – hiking to the most famous table mountain with a restaurant. Variety of viewpoints. KÖNIGSTEIN – the largest rock fortress in Europe lies on top of Table Mountain. DRESDEN – city is also called “Florence on the Elbe, mainly due to the beautiful Baroque buildings that are unparalleled in Germany. World-famous Zwinger with the gallery.
This is the end of our journey. You will get to the airport or train station. Alternatively you can stay at the hotel in Dresden another night.
